i believe the theme that sticks out the most is do anything you want and don't give up until you have achieved your goal.this is most noticeable when is says"Robert had said that if i were to quit that sure as hell is going to mess with your mind and he was right"this explains the theme because it means if you stop the journey early your going to regret it and your going to have the urge to keep going and to finish it.another example presenting this theme is when it says " the mosquitoes tore the shit out of me. i didn't sleep a bit all night long i felt like something was crawling on my."this shows this theme because it shows all the things they go through on this adventure and the determination it takes to overcome these obstacles is great.

i can relate to this answer too. there were many people that discouraged eddy not to go on this journey and eddy stuck through and still set out to the waters of the mississippi. i feel if robert wasnt around though, eddy would be sitting at home.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with you because all the examples you stated are true. They all support the overall theme of following your goal. I think that this is the real theme too because I feel that people need to follow their dream no matter how hard it could be. In the end and when you accomplish your goal, it will all pay off and feel amazing that you did it and all the obstacles that you faced.
