  1. i think that the most prominent them of Mississippi Solo is, you can do anything if you put your mind to it. this is shown when Robert says, "did you ever stop to think that your friends might not want you to do this because it might be dangerous?"(8). this shows that Eddy's friends are worried because he will be one of the few black people in Minnesota during a racist time. another example is when Eddy says, "Damn right ill make it"(10). this shows that even though hes friends dont want him to go, he is determined to do what he wants because it is a life long dream of him.
